Hardware Company Unveils Laptop That Has Seven Screens

A British hardware company has well and truly upped their screen game by releasing an Inspector Gadget-style device that looks like a multitasker’s dream.

Expanscape’s laptop prototype makes every gamer’s setup look like child’s play as the Aurora 7 boasts an incredible seven screens that extend out in every direction away from the main screen.

As for the specs of such an outlandish device, it features four 17.3-inch screens, all 4K, and three more 7-inch screens at 1920×1200.

The device is primarily to be used as a mobile security operations station and, according to Gizmodo, only has about one hour of battery life before it carks it.

You better be quick at typing.

According to the publication, it’s powered by an Intel i9 9900K processor backed by 64GB of DDR4 RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 series graphics card. The Aurora 7 also comes with 2TB of hard drive storage and an additional 2.5 TB of SSD storage.

What’s probably most impressive about the futuristic-looking device is that the screens are engineered to fold up onto themselves to create a relatively flat shape that can be carried in a bag (albeit a bag that can hold nearly 12kg).

The item is currently only available in prototype form and if you’re sitting there ready to throw your credit card at the computer screen and nab one of these bad boys, we have some potentially bad news for you.

It turns out the company not making the price of the whopper of a device public, and even requires interested buyers to sign a NDA to stay zipped on exactly how much money they forked out for the gargantuan mobile workstation.

We think we’ll stick to our trusty MacBooks for now.
