    Google Says No Need To Work On Algorithm & Ranking Issues Over Holidays

    Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter that when it comes to Google Search ranking algorithm updates – there is no need to work on those SEO issues over weekends or the holidays. He said Google’s “algorithms tend to focus more on the long term.” “So it doesn’t really make sense to “urgently” change a site overall for them,” he added. John Mueller said with these updates “you don’t need to work non-stop over the weekend/holidays.” This concern came up when I wrote again about the massive Google ranking fluctuations this week.     Google warns 2 billion users of update that could break websites worldwide

    Google has issued a warning to Chrome’s more than two billion users amid fears the browser’s forthcoming update will break a number of websites around the world. The tech giant announced the news via its Chromium Bug tracker, the codebase for Chrome, and a solution to the issue is currently nowhere in sight. It’s currently unclear what websites – and how many – are due to be affected by the problem. Many of those that are will not likely know they’re affected until it’s already too late, experts say. Users of Chrome should brace themselves for disruption or find another

    Google Confirms Update To Local Search Results

    Google confirms an algorithm update began rolling out to local search results at the end of November and concluded on December 8. This update involved a “rebalancing” of ranking factors Google considers when generating local search results. This update is officially being referred to as the November 2021 local search update, although the changes likely wouldn’t have been felt until the first week of December.     Google Meet Introduces New Immersive Backgrounds for Video Calls on Web

    Google Meet has added new immersive backgrounds and styles that allow Web users to change their backgrounds during a video call. The platform has added two new animated backdrops called Cafe and Condo which will help users represent their current time zone and climate. Both the interiors will have multiple iterations including rainy, sunny, or snowy weather, along with morning and night time zones. Google Meet previously offered background options including classroom, party, and forest. Additionally, Google Meet is offering options to add several light and colour filters and more stylised backgrounds to customise the video. Google on November 17
