ALEXANDRIA, Va.— SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) and SweetRush recently received a 2021 Gold MUSE Creative Award for best website, as well as the Gold Horizon Interactive Award for best web-training and e-learning program in 2020 for the SHRM People Manager Qualification (PMQ). The SHRM PMQ is a self-paced, virtual learning experience that uniquely combines interactivity, gamification and edu-tainment to engage learners and build solid people management and team leadership skills.
“Preserving the relationship between employee and manager is more critical than ever. We know from SHRM research that 84 percent of U.S. workers say poorly trained people managers create a lot of unnecessary work and stress, and half feel their own performance would improve if their manager received additional training,” said SHRM Chief Knowledge Officer Alex Alonso, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP. “SHRM is honored to receive this award in partnership with SweetRush—especially as tremendous changes impact all aspects of the workplace. With this in mind, skilling up managers can help HR professionals dedicate their time to delivering on culture, strategy, and meeting business objectives.”
The SHRM PMQ was launched in August 2020 as an interactive and evidence-based virtual learning program designed to help managers build the skills most needed to lead.
“We are so honored to play a role in magnifying SHRM’s impact with PMQ. From a learning and development perspective, it’s a challenge to take a substantive topic and make it relevant, authentic, and even engaging and enjoyable. PMQ met this challenge, and we applaud our friends at SHRM for their commitment to bringing these critically needed knowledge and skills to the industry,” said Arturo Schwartzberg, SweetRush’s Chairman.
The award coincides with the release of two new episodes of the PMQ, available today, centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion. After completing the modules, learners will be able to identify instances of bias in the workplace, lead proactive conversations at work to help reduce instances of bias, describe how social justice enters and affects the workplace, and establish policies that incorporate the foundations of inclusive workplace culture.
The SHRM PMQ offers easy to consume and interactive videos, allowing managers to role-play challenging scenarios and understand the full impact of their decisions. The complete learning experience is self-paced and takes approximately 10 and 13 hours to complete, concluding with a final behavioral assessment. For more information, visit https://pmq.shrm.org/.
